SENIOR COURSE

SENIOR COURSE
For students over 27 years of age

Pianists over the age of 27 years may only be admitted on the Senior Course if they are introduced/recommended by one or more teachers of the Academy, and only after passing the Admission Examination with the unanimous approval of the Examination Panel. Winners of important piano competitions may also be admitted without the need to pass an Admission Examination; this is at the sole discretion of the Director.
The Senior Course is orientated towards concert pianists who wish to interact with the Professors at the Academy who will be tasked with widening their piano repertoire, and developing their specific methodological tools of interpretation.


ADMISSION EXAMINATION PROGRAM

- A recital of concert level lasting no less than 60 minutes.

At the end of the Senior Course participants are awarded a Certificate of Attendance.


ANNUAL VERIFICATION EXAM

- A recital of 60 minutes' duration, and a concerto for piano and orchestra.
In order to continue on the Senior Course, the Examination Panel must give unanimous approval.



NUMBER OF HOURS AND ANNUAL FEE

The students can take up to 24 hours of lessons, that they can manage as they wish during the Academic Year. The maximum duration of the Senior Course is five years.

The course fee is €2,250.- per annum, payable in two instalments of €1,125.- These must be submitted on October 15th and February 15th of each year.
